Swedish melodic Death Metallers Maitreya make quite the impression with thier mournful and in some places delecate blend of emotional Death and raw agressive power. From start to finish of their new album "New World Prophecy" you get a sense of a band in total control of their destiny and musical flow. The musicianship shown on this album is outstanding and the variance that this brilliant band have created is so pleasing it cannot be properly described. One moment you can be rocking along to the brutal riff-age and the next your sucked into a vacuum of chilled moods and almost trippy melodies. A superb album by a superb band!
