STUCK MOJO - "The Great Revival"

STUCK MOJO
"The Great Revival"
[Napalm Records]

I don't really know what i expected from Crossover Metal outfit the highly acclaimed Stuck Mojo but a third rate Rap Metal band wasn't it. Whilst the riff-age is okay and the vocals do have a slightly enjoyable touch to them, half way through opening track "Worshipping A False God" and i'm already wanting to switch off. yes the heavier parts are pleasing but the rapping really does make me cringe and sounds like a more sludgy version of the hidious H Blockx. "Friends" has some nice female vocals" but all coolness is shattered as soon as the frontman starts to once again pathetically rap. As an album "The Great Revival" has some fantastic melodies and some adequate guitar play but on the while I find it tedious and slightly annoying, and rather than being a great revival I think this album should be enough to bury Stuck Mojo!
